Welcome to the 2025-26 Volleyball Season!
Hello All!
Please renew your membership for this season. To renew, go to https://floridavolleyball.org/memberships/ and then click on the big blue "Purchase Membership" button in the middle of the page. If you were on this list as an Adult Official last year but did not complete your certification you will need to renew your membership and start the process as a new candidate again this year. More instructions will be published next week to those who have an Adult Officials membership in the 25-26 Adult Officials group in SportsEngine.
The recertification courses for the Provisional and Regional referees have been entered into their USAV Academy accounts. If you registered after October 20 you most likely do not have the course. Here is the important thing: YOU MUST RENEW YOUR USAV MEMBERSHIP TO RECEIVE THE RECERT COURSES IN YOUR ACCOUNT! If you missed the distribution you will have to email me: [email protected] to request the course after you register. If you don't do that your certification could lapse. Remember that your recertification entails doing the online course in your Academy account. That is all you have to do to recertify. For those in your second season as a provisional we will be launching a program this year to provide feedback to you during tournaments. This will be a great opportunity to learn and improve your officiating and your confidence. Details on that program will be announced next month. All recertification courses will have a due date of January 9, 2026.
Update as of 11/3/2025: Modules FL26_051 Critical Rules & Points of Emphasis and FL26_801 Rules Exam have been updated with current content and are now available for members to complete. Module FL26_803 Scoring Exam has also been updated.
For those looking to upgrade from Provisional to Regional remember that you must have completed two seasons as a Provisional. If you have and you want to upgrade, fill out the form on this link. Then wait for instructions to come out next month. There is plenty of time to get this done, don't panic, but DO watch for emails with instructions.
Last but not least, we will be using the combination of SportWrench and ZebraWeb to do the assigning and confirming of assignments for all Florida Region sanctioned events. It is important that you UPDATE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN BOTH SYSTEMS. You should use the same email that is in your SportsEngine profile. Remember that all of these systems USE EMAIL AS THEIR METHOD OF COMMUNICATION. Sorry if you prefer text or other methods but ASSIGNING AND SCHEDULING IS DONE BY EMAIL. So remember that you have to take responsibility to CHECK YOUR EMAIL AND RESPOND ACCORDINGLY. I have received messages from a number of officials who specifically ask me questions that I answered in the previous new season email. If the shoe fits, I'm talking to you!
